If you are experiencing a slow burn on resources and performance in Internet Explorer versions 7-11, running on Windows Vista through Windows 8.1, you’re not alone. According to Microsoft updates release in both July and August are the culprit.
After you apply either MS14-037 (released in July) or MS14-051 (released in August) cumulative security update for Internet Explorer, IE will eventually become slow and unresponsive if left running. The issue is due to how fixes in the updates change the way Internet Explorer handles consecutive modal dialog boxes used in web applications.
