I can't access the information in memory.dmp as a normal user.

A. As of Windows NT service pack 4 for Windows NT 4.0 and allversions of Windows 2000 memory.dmp is now created with an ACL of:

Administrators - Full Control
System - Full Control

Other users may not access the file. Pre-service pack 4 the file was createdwith the same permissions as the parent directory but the memory dump may havesensitive information so its access has now been restricted. If you wish toaccess the file logon as an Administrator.
