WebEyeAlert, which develops WebEyeAlert video security surveillance technology, announced a strategic partnership with Amcest, a nationwide monitoring service. Under the terms of the partnership, Amcest will offer its dealers the WebEyeAlert solution to promote free video monitoring services to its customers. Amcest will monitor premises and verify any video alerts received from customers' monitored premises. When necessary, Amcest can notify authorities of intrusions and relay video information collected from the WebEyeAlert software to authorities. The WebEyeAlert software can use Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), PDA, phone, fax, pager, and email to alert customers.

A WebEyeAlert spokesperson said, "WebEyeAlert's family of security products, which include Camera Control Software and Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Software, allow users to view real-time and recorded video of their facilities via the Web, detect and digitally record events, and to receive notification if an intrusion occurs. The WebEyeAlert technology was developed with open architecture that enables consumers to use virtually any existing CCTV system. Users are also able to define whether WebEyeAlert simultaneously records continuous live video feeds from multiple cameras or simply records live video when motion is detected."
