EMET 5.0 Set to RTM in the 2nd Half of This Year
EMET 5.0 is set to leave Technical Preview, with a public release sometime later this year.

The Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) seems to be Microsoft's goto solution for most zero-day trouble these days. Sifting through the communities, many IT Pros who have never used it before are working to deploy EMET across the organization, based on some of the more critical security vulnerabilities of late.
EMET 5.0 has been in Technical Preview since February of this year and it has been updated a couple times since then. Obviously, though EMET 5.0 Technical Preview seems stable, IT Pros know not to count on a beta-type piece of software for security assurance.
Microsoft has stated that EMET 5.0 will be released in the 2nd half of this calendar year, so organizations will have to wait a little while longer before it releases officially and publicly. Of course, true to Microsoft form, there is no exact set date, just a range of when the release is planned.
The Technical Preview is still available here: Microsoft Connect for EMET 5.0 Technical Preview, and Microsoft encourages testers to download to evaluate to provide feedback so that the final release is solid, stable, and meets stringent security standards.
EMET 4.1 Update 1 was just updated recently and remains the supported mitigation tool from Microsoft.
