In a cash transaction valued at approximately $15 million, Business Objects has acquired OLAP@Work. OLAP@Work’s Ottawa, Canada, office will become Business Objects' Canadian headquarters, with Business Objects establishing a new development center in Ottawa and integrating engineering staff members from its Paris research and development center.Business Objects will continue to market and support existing OLAP@Work products and integrate OLAP@Work products and technology into current and future Business Objects e-business intelligence products."The acquisition of OLAP@Work provides Business Objects with excellent technology and expertise to further develop our leading e-business intelligence solutions and provide enhanced access to multidimensional data sources," says Bernard Liautaud, Business Objects president and CEO. “The acquisition will enable us to further enhance our solutions on top of Microsoft and SAP products."
