Why can't I hot swap my PCMCIA card with Windows NT 4.0?

A. A. Windows NT 4.0 does not support hot swap capabilities for PCMCIA cards -- the card must be inserted at boot. This support will be supported Windows NT 5.0. If you need these capabilities with Windows NT 4.0, you can use a third party package, such as SystemSoft's CardWizard product. For more information, check out their web site at www.systemsoft.com.
