What software DVD players work with Windows 2000?

A. There are a number of hardware solutions for DVD decodinghowever with faster processors software decoding is fine is most situations andless configuration but not all software players work on Windows 2000.
The one I personally use is PowerDVD from CyberLink but there are otherswhich work on Windows 2000:
DVD Express - http://www.mediamatics.com/ (you get this with the IBM portables)
PowerDVD 2.55 and above - http://www.gocyberlink.com/
Win DVD - http://www.intervideoinc.com/
Be aware that to use these you do need a good processor, at least a PII 400but works best with a PIII.
