A. Microsoft has unveiled Windows Live, http://www.live.com , which is a central point to access many Web-hosted services, such as special email, favorites, and IM implementations, as well as a Live Safety Center, which performs on-demand scans and performance tuning of computers. You can try the Live Safety Center at http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm . The figure shows a screen shot of the "Live Safety Center" in action. Also documented on the Windows Live site is the new OneCare Live, which is an antivirus, firewall, backup, and tune-up service that runs as a service on your local PC.
