A. Windows 2002 is—perhaps—the final name for the Windows 2000 follow-on server line of OSs. The beta name for this server line is Whistler. In places, even the follow-on desktop line (Windows XP Home and Professional Editions) features the Windows 2002 name in build 2465 forward. See the Microsoft press release for more details.
