I understand that a host of Support Tools comes with Windows Server 2003. Will these tools install and run in Windows 2000?

The Windows 2003 Support Tools will install and run in Windows XP and Win2K. In fact, many of the tools (e.g., diruse.exe, dmdiag.exe) are already available in Win2K. (You can install the Phone Book Administrator--PBA--and the Remote Desktop Connection on XP, as well.)
