On the right and bottom sides of the PowerPoint slide are the vertical and horizontal scroll bars.

Scroll bars appear only when needed. If you are already viewing the full horizontal or vertical dimension of your presentation or slide, the scrollbar will not be visible.

You can use the scroll bars several ways to navigate a document.

  • Click the scroll buttons to move slowly up or down.

  • Click the bar, above or below the scroll box, to move up or down more quickly.

  • Drag the scroll box to a specific location. As you drag, a tip appears showing the location in the presentation.

  • Click the Previous Slide and Next Slide buttons to navigate one slide at a time.
