You can delete entries from the AutoCorrect Replace text as you type list:

  1. Select the entry.

  2. Click the Delete button.

For example, if you regularly type legal or technical documentation that uses sections and subsections, you might need to refer to subsection (c). Word will replace (c) with the copyright symbol, ©, because (c) is an entry in the AutoCorrect Replace text as you type list. You will probably want to delete that entry.
