Your Windows 2000 Professional event log records the following once or twice a day:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: EventSystem
Event Category: Firing Agent
Event ID: 4100
Date: MM/DD/YYYY
Time: HH:MM:SS
User: N/A
Computer:
Description: The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber {6295DF2D-35EE-11D1-8707-00C04FD93327}. CoCreateInstanceEx returned HRESULT 8000401A.

You can disable CSC (Client Side Caching) to prevent this warning, or you can just ignore it.

To disable CSC and prevent the warning:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

regsvr32 /s /u %SystemRoot%system32mobsync.dll

NOTE: If you upgrade to Windows XP with this problem, event ID 4536 is logged.
