Q. I've deployed a Key Management Service (KMS) server in my environment and need to configure my clients with an updated key to use KMS. Which product key do I use for KMS?

A. Microsoft documents the keys to use for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for KMS activation. Keys are available for Server 2008 and Windows Vista. Depending on your configuration, the clients may automatically discovery the KMS server through DNS configuration or can be manually configured using

slmgr -skms

from the command line.
