Q. I have several Performance Monitor performance counters that I want to export to be used again in the future. How can I do this?

A. Once you've configured performance counters you want to use again, you can right-click the Performance Monitor monitoring part of the screen and select Save Settings As... It will create a web page or report based on your save options.

If you save an html file, you can just drag it back into Performance Monitor to re-monitor the performance counters defined in the HTML file. Or you can double-click the HTML file and load it in Internet Explorer. Using an ActiveX plug-in, you can monitor through the web browser, as shown here.
