Q. How can I uninstall Internet Explorer 7?

The preferred method for uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 is:

1. Start / Run / appwiz.cpl / OK.

2. Select Windows Internet Explorer 7 and press Remove.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. When finished, double-click the Internet Explorer icon to verify that Internet Explorer 6 is working.

NOTE: If you are unable to use the above instructions, try the following:

1. Open Windows Explorer.

2. On the Tools menu press Folder Options.

3. Select the View tab.

4. In the Advanced Settings, check Show hidden files and folders.

5. Press Apply and OK.

6. Start / Run / %SystemRoot%ie7spuninstspuninst.exe / OK.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

8. When finished, double-click the Internet Explorer icon to verify that Internet Explorer 6 is working.
