Q: How can I check the registered owner and organization of network PCs?

A: Some organizations have challenges tracking information about computers on their networks. I found a neat, free utility, EMCO OS License Modifier (http://www.emco.is/products/os-license-modifier/features.php), that enables easy viewing of information for your network machines.

Once it's installed, you can scan the entire network or a particular domain or workgroup. Each machine will be enumerated, and the registered organization and user for each will be displayed, as shown here.
