Xequte Software announced DVD PixPlay, Video CD (VCD) slide show-creation software for Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/9x. DVD PixPlay lets you use a thumbnail wizard to retrieve images from folders, scanners, or digital cameras and arrange them in slide shows to put on CD-ROMs that you can play on a DVD player. The software lets you select background-music tracks and create introduction pages and transitions between images. You can generate slide shows from standard image formats, including JPEG, JPEG 2000, GIF, BMP, and Portable Networks Graphics (PNG), and you can use .mp3 and .wav files for music accompaniment. DVD PixPlay costs $19.70. For more information, contact Xequte Software at [email protected] or on the Web.
