If you select Paste, you will create an embedded table.

  • You can edit the table by double-clicking it. The table will be opened in a placeholder in the slide. The menus and toolbars will change to those of Word.

  • When you are finished making changes, click on the slide outside the table placeholder.

If you choose Paste Link you will paste a picture of the table you copied that is linked to the original document, so that if the source document changes, your presentation will show the changes.

  • To edit the table, double-click it and the source document will be opened in Word.

  • When you are finished making changes, close Word, being sure to save your changes.
