To restrict FRS traffic to a specific port:

1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesNTFRSParameters.

2. Add a RPC TCP/IP Port Assignment Value Name, a REG_DWORD data type, and set the data value to the port, using the Decimal radix.

NOTE: If you set the data value to 0, a dynamic TCP/IP port assignment is used.

NOTE: Make sure that the port is open on your firewall and that any intermediate network devices or softwareare NOT filtering the port.
