JSI Tip 5070. Internet Explorer 5.5 generates 'Page cannot be displayed' when retrieved from the drop-down Address box?

You recently typed a URL and successfully retrieved a Web page. Later, when you select the URL from the drop-down Address list, you receive:

Page cannot be displayed.

If you made a syntax error when entering the original URL, AutoCorrect may have fixed the entry, but the improper syntax was still stored in the drop-down list. The AutoCorrect feature does NOT not work for data stored in the drop-down list.
