When you schedule a task using the Scheduled Tasks tool, you receive:

The new task has been created, but may not run because the account information could not be set. The specific error is:
0x80090016: Keyset does not exist.

The new task has been created, but may not run because the account information could not be set. The specific error is:
0x8009000f: Object already exists.

Your Windows 2000 computer does NOT have the Protected Storage service started.

Use Computer Management / Services and Application / Services to configure Protected Storage to start Automatically and to Start it.

NOTE: If the Cryptography subsystem has become corrupt, delete the following key and restart your computer:

HKEY_USERS.DefaultSoftwareMicrosoftCryptographyProvidersType 001
