You can use Control Panel / Display / Effects to enable font smoothing. This causes the edges of large fonts to be painted in different shades of gray, which makes the display font look smoother.
You can enable font smoothing in the registry, by navigating to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop and setting the FontSmoothing value name, a string variable (REG_SZ), to 2. The default, 0, disables font smoothing.
