After you use the Update.msi file to upgrade from Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 to Windows 2000 Service Pack 2, Service Pack 1 remains in the Add/Remove Programs list?

This is a cosmetic problem and does not effect functionality.

You can delete the SP1 entry from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall.
