When you download dynamic content from ASP pages or CGI scripts, Internet Explorer may hang for up to five minutes. You may receive:

2147012894 Internet Client Error: Request Timeout.

Internet Explorer has a connection limit for HTTP 1.1 of two open connections. Sometimes, it gets confused and behaves as if the connection limit has been reached. It then waits for up to five minutes for a connection to become available.

To workaround this problem, see tip 2658 Increase the number of simultaneousconnections in Internet Explorer 4.0 and above.
