In Windows NT 4.0, you could force a client to spool raw data type files by checking the Always spool raw data type box on the General tab of a printer's Properties.

To force a client to spool the raw data type in Windows 2000:

1. Start / Settings / Printers.

2. Right-click the printer that you want to use and press Properties.

3. Select the Advanced tab.

4. Press Print Processor.

5. Select Raw in the Default datatype box.

6. Press OK.

7. On the Advanced tab, clear the Enable advanced printing features box.

8. Press OK.

NOTE: See 2035 When I print a .SPL file, it prints garbled?

NOTE: See 3169 I selected the Raw data type, but my spool files are still very large?
