During setup, you receive:

Setup has encountered a fatal error that prevents it from continuing.Contact your product support representative for assistance. The following status will assist them in diagnosing the problem.(0x4, 0x1, 0, 0)Setup cannot continue. Power down or reboot your computer now.

This can be caused by faulty disk drives, or by having more than 1 drive with the same disk signature, or more than 1 RAW disk whose MBR has identical checksums.

To help resolve the problem:

1. If you only have 1 drive, check your BIOS, cabling, termination, jumpers, etc...

2. If the drive was never formated, low-level format it. Then fdisk it to create a partition. During setup, delete and recreate the partition to the size you wish.

3. If you have multiple drives, remove all but the boot and system drive. Connect them after setup.

4. It is remotely possible that you have a boot sector virus. Take appropriate actions.
