If you are using a ATA66 drive in Windows 2000, you may receive:

Disk errorDriver detected a controller error on the device, DeviceHarddisk1DR1ATAPI Error Parity error on device IDEIDEport1

Currently, ATA66 DMA transfer mode is NOT supported for onboard IDE controllers. See the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL).

To fix the errors, set PIO transfer mode, using tip 2247.
