JSI Tip 2438. You are not prompted for a password when returning from Hibernate?.

If you are not prompted for a password when returning from Hibernate, you may have the Prompt for password when computer goes off standby de-selected.

This option has nothing to do with turning off the monitor after a period of inactivity, which doesn't require a password.

To select the Prompt for password when computer goes off standby option:

1. Control Panel / Power Options.

2. Select the Advanced tab.

3. Check the Prompt for password when computer goes off standby box.

4. Press OK.
