In Windows NT 4.0, when you type:
net view \localhost
you receive:
Error 53
The network path was not found.
In Windows 2000, you receive:
Error 52
A duplicate name exists on the network.
The name localhost is resolved to the loopback IP Address 127.0.0.1. NetBIOS over TCP/IP (NetBt) does not bind to the loopback address.
You must use the computer name for NET VIEW to work.
If you don't know the computer name, type:
hostname
