When you uninstall SP5, you may notice that some files are NOT 'restored'.
SP5 makes some significant changes to the SAM (Security Accounts Manager) and Security hives. These changes are not reversed when you uninstall SP5. Hence, the files that support these changes can NOTbe 'restored'.
NOTE: If you upgraded to SP6 (or later) from SP4 (or earlier), this tip also applies.
The files that are NOT 'restored' are:
Certmgr.mscComcat.dllComctl32.dllCrypt32.dllCryptdlg.dllCryptext.dllCryptnet.dllCryptui.dllDssbase.dllDsssig.exeInitpki.dllLsasrv.dllMscat32.dllMsoss.dllMssign32.dllMssip32.dllMsv1_0.dllOdbccp32.cplOdbccp32.dllOdbcint.dllPsbase.dllPstorec.dllPstorerc.dllPstores.exeRegsvr32.exeRsabase.dllRsaenh.dllRsasig.dllSamlib.dllSamsrv.dllSchannel.dllSecauth.hlpServices.exeShfolder.dllSoftpub.dllSyskey.exeWinlogon.exeWintrust.dllWldap32.dllXenroll.dll
