JSI Tip 1311. When I view properites of a newly formated floppy, it shows only 1.38MB?

The display is actually showing the amount of disk space, per the following formula:

(Allocation units * number of bytes in each allocation unit)/1024/1024

a 1.44MB Diskette would be:

(2847*512)/1024/1024 = 1.39013671875 megabytes.

Due to rounding problems:

2847*512/1024=1423.5
1423/1024=1.389648438
1.38MB.

The same display also shows 1,457,664 bytes total capacity:

2847*512
