If you uninstall RAS, your System Event Log may contain the following (when you restart):

Event ID   : 4119Source     : TCP/IPDescription: IP could not open registry key for NdiswanX.

       or

Event ID   : 4311Source     : NetBTDescription: Initialization failed because the driver device could not be created.

To fix the problem, use Regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesNetBtAdapters

Double-click the Adapters key and delete all sub-keys that starts with NdisWan.

Shutdown and restart your computer.
