When you start Internet Explorer 6, you may experience any of the subject behaviors if the Winshow browser hijacker has been installed on the computer.

NOTE: Winshow is installed as an Internet Explorer BHO (Browser Helper Object).

You may receive one of the following errors, which closes Internet Explorer:

Access violation: IE has encountered a problem and has to shutdown.Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to closeapplication name: iexplorer.exemod name: winshow.dll
