JSI Tip 10447. When you attempt to install the WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) Validation Tool from the Windows Update Web site, you receive 0x80070005?

When you install the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool to validate your license for Windows XP or Windows 2000 Professional, you are unable to validate, and you receive a 0x80070005 error.

This behavior will occur if the appropriate permissions are not detected.

To resolve this issue, download and install WGADiag2.exe, the WGA Diagnostic Tool.
