Intel Details Core 2 Duo and ULV Core 2 Duo

On Tuesday, Intel revealed details about its upcoming Core 2 Duo generation of microprocessors, which will replace the recently released Core Duo. The big surprise is that the company will deliver ultra low voltage (ULV) versions of the processor that will consume less than 1 watt of power. Intel expects to ship the Core 2 Duo line some time in the coming months, along with the Intel 965 Express chipset. Additionally, Intel is prepping desktop and server chips based on the Core 2 Duo platform.
