For information about browser latency, realistic download rates, and Web server statistics, see Chapter 3, "Capacity Planning," in the Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 Resource Guide. On the TechNet Technical Information CD-ROM, look under InternetServerMS Internet Information ServerChapter 4, Capacity Planning. This chapter has some very good information and statistics for putting Web and proxy servers in check with user browsers. If you ever wanted to know how many 5KB pages you can expect to shoehorn through a T1 line, this chapter has it. (The correct answer is 28 pages per second.)
