A. A known problem exists that if a domain controller which is aFile Replication Service partner of a server cannot be contacted either due to anetwork problem or is rebooted within a single polling interval (5 minutes) thenthe server will be unable to resolve the SID of the FRS partner as the bindinghandle will be invalid.

The actual event log received will be:

Event ID:13526

The file replication service cannot replicate c:winntsysvoldomain with the computerTITANIC because the computer SID cannot be determined from the distinguished name "cn=dc1,ou=domaincontroller,dc=savilltech,dc=com" The file Replication Service will try later.
SYSVOL and DFS content is not being replicated.

This problem will stop information from being replicated and to resolverestart the FRS service on the machine logging the 13526 events:

C:>net stop "file replication service"
The File Replication Service service is stopping.....
The File Replication Service service was stopped successfully.

C:>net start "file replication service"
The File Replication Service service is starting.
The File Replication Service service was started successfully.
