A. The Windows 2000 upgrade CD cannot be used to "upgrade"an existing Windows 2000 installation (a similar problem with NT 4.0 existed)and so you cannot use the Windows 2000 upgrade CD to upgrade Windows 2000evaluation edition to the full version.

Microsoft have responded to customer feedback and released a wizard at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/deployment/evalupg/default.aspwhich can be used to upgrade the evaluation version to full using a Windows 2000upgraded CD providing you also have a valid qualifying CD such as Windows 98 orNT 4.0.

If you have the full Windows 2000 CD then you don't need the evaluationupgrade wizard.
