A. Windows 2000 keeps track of the DVD region and after itsinitial setting you are allowed to only change it once more. Its possible toreset the counter by performing the following registry change:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)

  2. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft

  3. There will be a subkey (the first) of a strange format, e.g. ';t-z% with a single REG_QWORD value

  4. Select the key and delete

  5. Restart the computer

Upon restart you should be able to modify the region again.
