A. In Windows NT 4.0, you enable IP forwarding by checking "Enable IP Routing" in the Advanced TCP/IP configuration dialog box. However, to enable a multihomed Win2K box to act as an IP router, you must perform the following steps:

  1. Start regedit.exe.

  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpipParameters.

  3. Double-click IPEnableRouter.

  4. Set the value to 1. Click OK.

  5. Close regedit.

  6. Reboot the machine.
