How do I create a Web folder?

A. Using Explorer, you can view several of the virtual directories that Exchange 2000 creates by creating a Web folder instance of the format http://[server]/[share]. A good example is to create a Web folder to the public Microsoft IIS virtual directory to enable you to easily browse the public folders:

You'll see a new entry (if you have no groups defined, the new entry will contain Internet Newsgroups). This procedure uses the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) Internet standard, so other platforms—including Mac and UNIX—can use this Web folder to share information. After you have this connection, you can create new folders/files. However, you're still restricted to the privileges you've been assigned. If, for example, you don't have the Folder Visible permission for a folder, you won't see the folder in the list.
