How can I specify an alternate HAL during Windows 2000 installation?

A. During installation of Windows 2000 you can press F5 andselect an alternate HAL to be used:

  • ACPI Multiprocessor PC

  • ACPI Uniprocessor PC

  • Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC

  • Compaq SystemPro Multiprocessor or 100% Compatible

  • MPS Uniprocessor PC

  • MPS Multiprocessor PC

  • Standard PC

  • Standard PC with C-Step i486

  • Other

Selecting Other allows a 3rd party HAL to be specified.
