A. When the Add/Remove Programs option isn't available, you need to remove Internet Explorer (IE) 5.0's Task Scheduler the old fashioned way (i.e., edit the registry).

  1. Start regedit.exe.

  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstallSchedulingAgent.

  3. Double-click the UninstallString value.

  4. Copy the value data and click OK.

  5. Close regedit.

  6. In the Run dialog box (Start, Run), paste the content from the UninstallString and click OK.

The system will remove the Task Scheduler.
