How can I enable or disable the quick launch icons?

A. You can remove the quick launch icons by setting the following registry entry to 0:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorerClassicShell

If the icons are missing and you want them, simply delete the above value.
