I'm having difficulty scheduling tasks on my Windows 2000 server. When I click Add a scheduled task in the Control Panel Scheduled Tasks applet, the system seems to hang. Then, when I look at CPU utilization, I see explorer.exe running at 100 percent. Have you run into this problem before?

Yes. The difficulty you're having is a known problem, and you must contact Microsoft for the patch that will fix it. See the Microsoft article "Scheduled Task Wizard stops responding when you click Next" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=830924) for details.
