Edit clip art

You can actually edit the clip art itself, changing its contents, by ungrouping the clip art.

Clip art is typically created by an illustrator who creates a number of shapes and lines and groups them together into a single unit. If you ungroup the clip art, you can move, delete, or change the formatting of elements that make up the image.

  1. Right-click the clip art and choose Grouping → Ungroup.

    A confirmation message appears.

  2. Click Yes.

You will probably have to ungroup several times to completely disassemble the components of the image.

  • To re-group the clip art, drag a selection lasso around the image then click the Draw menu on the Drawing toolbar and choose Group.
