A. The new Microsoft keyboards with the IE extra buttons useIntelliType software which runs under Windows NT with Service pack 3 installedand Windows 2000. When used with Windows 2000 you do not get the on screendisplay when pressing the keys such as 'Volume Up' but they still work, allexcept for the Computer and Calculator keys which do not currently function.

You cannot use the USB connection in Windows NT 4.0 but it works fine inWindows 2000. As a side note if you are using Windows 2000 and the keyboard inthe USB hub you may need to enable legacy USB support in the BIOS to allow it to"see" a USB keyboard during bootup.

IntelliType 1.1 released which runs on Windows 2000. http://www.microsoft.com/products/hardware/keyboard/download/pc/download_PC.htm
