Configuration Manager client update

Q. Will Configuration Manager clients require updating each time there is a new branch of Configuration Manager?

A. While it is not mandatory for the Configuration Manager client to update every time Configuration Manager does it is likely the client will be frequently updated. To avoid any delay or extra effort I recommend enabling the client automatic update feature which is available via the Administration workspace - Overview - Site Configuration - Sites - - Hierarchy Settings. Enable the Upgrade all clients in the hierarchy using production client option. Now if a client is a lower version it will automatically be upgraded.
