Checking Service Pack and DLL Versions

Learn how you can check your system to find out which service pack, which dll, and which version of Internet Explorer you're running.

  • To identify the service pack level of your system, run the Windows NT Diagnostics applet in the Administrative Tools group and select the Version tab.

  • To check a DLL version number, start Explorer, locate the file, right click, select Properties, and click the Version tab.

  • To check the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE), click Help About or right-click My Computer and select Properties. The installed version of IE is displayed below the NT build number.
